Just tried to vote-kick some guy who was hacking in a pub I was in, and starting a vote-kick against him crashed my game. That's pretty fucking scary that they have the ability to do shit like that now.
I feel you, i crashed once, it was scary too. Keep up my dude.
Spe0r u sure it wasnt just a coincidence
tested it afterwards in a pub and it worked just fine. I don't think it was a coincidence.

It's a coincidence, if there was an exploit that could crash your game everyone would know about it

Maybe it wasn't the votekick that crashed it but something else.

Dude last game I tried to kick the hacker and suddenly my mom came in and told me to wash the dishes. Prety scary that hackers have the ability to do shit like that now.

There was a way to corrupt a spray (since they use valve's nonstandard image type .vtf) that would crash the client of everyone who tried to render it. It was mentioned several years ago, and it only got fixed much later when some guy found out that it also allowed remote code execution on everyone on the server (!!!) and reported it to valve.
The method was never released, so only a few people ever knew it was a thing until shortly before the fix.
