Professional is for retards who can't type who have lots of money. Get the Ultimate or get a $5 keyboard. You're not typing enough to justify a mechanical unless you can type withing looking for keys.

lmao
I was thinking of buying one. I hear the build quality is good.

Agreed. Perfectly describes why backlit mechanical keyboards are an enormous gimmick.
@Indiman Das Keyboards aren't all that great in the grand scheme of things. They are a popular brand name, but there are better keyboards out there (namely Filco). They have a particular problem with getting horribly smudged because the surface of them is glossy.

I've used a das professional, and I switched back to the 6Gv2. Recommend it to anyone that wants mechanical and doesn't feel the need to spend a million dollars.
I've owned a DK w/ Blues. It's a solid board. The smudgy effect is a little annoying and ABS keys are kinda poopy and prone to wear but not bad.
Steel Series are okay but I'm really not a fan of MX Blacks. Far too heavy, even for a linear switch. I'd really recommend reds over them for gaming.
Filco and Leopold are probably two of the more popular brands.

MX Red switches are the best for FPS gaming. Blues or Browns are better if you play RTS games alot as well.
topre are the best for gaming

Interesting. Is glossiness the only problem?

Das ultimate is awesome, I got it a month ago and its pretty amazing. Yeah besides the keys its glossy, but it wasn't that noticeable except for the day I got it. I don't really see it getting horribly smudged personally.
If you're a slob don't get it, otherwise I'd say its a good purchase, works well and looks nice.
