update info.vdf in the HUD files in your lawena folder. Open it in notepad, turn the 1 into a 2

what Tob said, also remove /resource/gamemenu.res and /resource/ui/mainmenuoverride.res if the game crashes

Well I have the same problem besides that I have the "ui_version 2" and is still shows entire hud
