Time for the highlight of the penultimate week of ESEA S27 Invite. Ascent squares off against SVIFT NA for another installment in this new and invigorating rivalry. They've traded maps across the season and at Rewind LAN, and who could forget their last matchup? These teams met up in ESEA just two and a half weeks ago on Granary, where despite Ascent taking a 2-1 lead at half, then later forcing overtime off the back of a crazy marmaloo Kritz play, they lost in heartbreaking fashion in the golden cap. In the meantime, both teams have handled their business, defeating 4th seed hopeful Velocity and other competition en route to this rematch. With playoffs having a map pick / ban system, the seeding matters more than in past seasons. Should SVIFT win here and cleanup their redo vs. Running with Scizors, they could end up as the 2nd seed thanks to their head-to-head record against Ascent (assuming no upsets of course).
