Ze Germans are back after a lackluster season, hungry to prove themselves once more in Premiership.

Season 34 was not kind to wer das liest ist doof. Having their only win of the season invalidated due to Rakuzan’s death, the Germans struggled to scrape together any points at all by the end of the season. Plagued by an ever metamorphosing roster, the team struggled to build any consistency and improvement as the season went on. But the team they're going to field for Season 35, isn’t the same team we’ve seen before.

This one’s a bit more complicated than the others, so get ready. Rising is leaving the main roster, having played Roamer for them in the previous season. To fill the soldier-shaped gap in the team, Fischkopf is moving over Rising's spot for the season, and Gazy will then move from Scout to Pocket. aidelos is moving from Demo onto Scout to replace Gazy. And to fill in aidelos' move, Nas boii is the team’s new pickup for Demo. Still with us? Good. The many Medics who played with the Germans last season are collectively replaced by mulaa, who’s the team’s new full-time medical practitioner.

Although that sounds and reads like a mid-life crisis for the poor fellas, Fischkopf instead is feeling confident about the upcoming season.

TEAMFORTRESS.TV: After winning Division 1, you guys made some changes to your roster, but couldn't quite get some solid results in Premiership last season. Are you hoping this season's roster changes will solve some of your issues?

Fischkopf: Yeah, we were mostly playing with a constantly changing roster so we are hoping to play better with a more consistent roster. We had a new medic like every second official.

TEAMFORTRESS.TV: So what are your expectations for the upcoming season?

Fischkopf: We are doing pretty well in our scrims so far but one should consider that people play worse before the season starts. But all teammates seem to be very keen.

A good mindset is half the battle, and if the Germans are feeling strong, this might be the season to come back to Premiership with a strong showing.
