So my GPU (Nvidia GeForce GTX 560) came with a program called Thunder Master.
I'm not incredibly tech-savvy, so I was always scared to mess with it... But today I bit the bullet and decided to mess about.
Somehow I figured out how to overclock my GPU, but I'm not sure whether I want to/what a safe amount would be.
Anybody here use an overclocked GPU? What settings would you recommend?
I'm poor, and can't afford a new one, if this one fries.
Currently I'm at about 38°c when Idling, about 42-45°c when running TF2

Don't use that program, use MSI afterburner or EVGA precision X.
Also with overclocking, you have a pretty decent amount of room. Just test different clock speeds and temps, don't go too overboard though, like 100-150mhz at the most on the core clock. I'm not super familiar with the 560 though, you can always google for other peoples overclocking settings with that card.

Over clocking your card won't get you any extra performance in TF2. If your worried about frying your card, just don't attempt it. Source is a CPU intensive engine. If you're playing other games, use afterburner or precision and just play around with them and run stability tests to find what works for you.
