As Season 4's playoffs reach the boiling point, RGL have announced a cup in the offseason to tide us all over as we remain house-bound due to The Thing. The event will be run with a division structure, with teams being grouped into divisions of 8-16 teams, in addition to an Invite group. League fees will be charged for the event, with $10 dollars for the Invite division and $5 for all other paid divisions, and the bottom several divisions will be free of charge. The exact division structure and resulting cash prize pool will be announced at a later date, and is dependent on signups. All division winner's team captain will get a month of Qixalite premium to use during Season 5.
The first day will contain the group stage. The Invite division will play a format that suits the number of team in the division which will be announced after signups conclude, and all other divisions will play out a four round Swiss system with set maps on cp_process_final, cp_gullywash_final1, cp_snakewater_final1, and cp_sunshine. The next day will be division playoffs, with the top half of each division making playoffs, and exact format depending on final division sizes. Those who do not make playoffs may opt to play in a day 2 consolation bracket. Map vetos will use the RGL Season 4 map pool.
Signups are open now, and will run until December 28th. To sign up, and to view more details and cup-specific rules go to RGL's website. If you're just looking to watch, teamfortresstv will be streaming it on our Twitch channel.
