No idea what you even mean by that first one, but as for your viewmodel:
check your viewmodel_fov. If it's 0, you won't see it even if r_drawviewmodels is 1.

restarted steam.
steam overlay worked :>.
I had viewmodel_fov set at 0 for some reason.
everythings fine now though
