AlfiegigahertzI'm trying to install Chris's Highframes into my /cfg folder, but every time I start the game, it closes before reaching the Menu screen. Any help?
I actually just verified the integrity of TF2 and it still crashes before the Menu.
you put it in tf/custom/stuff/cfg
the stuff folder can be named anything
I just fixed it, thanks! I put the autoexec.cfg in /stuff and not /stuff/cfg

I have read in some plugin and hud help files that the correct directory should be
tf/custom/userstuff/cfg for example
And in some others I have read that the correct is
tf/custom/cfg
Which one is the best practice?
I had every main subfolder on the custom folder, like a hud folder, addon folder and cfg folder, is it really necessary to create another layer?

It's tf/custom/[folder]/cfg
Where [folder] can be named whatever you want.

salsaI verified the files and put my custom files in the UserStuff folder, so my game isn't crashing on the main menu anymore. However, now it crashes whenever I connect to a server.
I've had that problem before, and I know that either you may have too many mods, or your game can't handle those mods.

Hello everyone,
I started playing TF2 again a few days ago, and I was excited to play as I heard that the map loading times were much faster due to SteamPipe being introduced to TF2. I noticed that they were not for me. The solution I came up with was to reset my computer to factory default settings, but that didn't work out. I still get long map loading times. I am also confused because my brother has the exact same model as my computer, yet his map load times are much faster. The only noticeable difference I see is that he is participating in the Steam Beta Update, but I don't know if that makes any diiference in regards to TF2. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

How many custom files do you have? That could be affecting your load times. Have you tried validating as well?
