Hello, all.
Newer folks around here may not know me. Some folks that were active around 2014-2016ish might describe me as someone they kinda know of but aren't sure why.
Basically, I put a bunch of time into organizing a variety of events, tournaments, services, etc. for the NA community. Usually, the work I did went unnoticed by most (by design lol), but not always. Anyways, I was unhealthily passionate about the game. I've since mellowed out a bunch, while still trying to do what I can to make sure the hat game is around enough so that whenever I wanna pug in the future, I'll be able to lol
I've noticed that as time goes on, I'm spending more money each month on a variety of servers. It's not too much money, but it has been slowly adding up over the years (both in monthly costs and cumulatively). I currently don't mind paying for it, but I'm looking at going back to school for my masters degree in the next year or two and know that it'll be much more of a burden during that time.
SO, this is basically a lot of words to ask for a small number of people to consider helping me break even each month moving forward. This is a lil embarrassing to basically tftv panhandle, but dropping a cool $250-$300 a year as a public school teacher isn't at all ideal. Here's a link to a patreon I have set up. Please consider supporting with a $1 monthly donation.

Kevin has been fantasic to work with in the past, and his projects are just a staple of how great people can come together and help out the newer players in our community. His passion alone deserves our funding!

As a music teacher myself, I completely understand what this involves. Best of luck Kevin, you've done a lot for this community, and will undoubtedly keep doing great things for it.

Met Kevin at GXL '17? '16? I let the production team use my rig to host the stream while I relayed messages to the teams. Kevin was doing a bit of everything to make sure everybody can enjoy TF2, and he still is in so many more thoughtful and useful ways. If anyone deserves to be recognized it is without a doubt KevinIsPwn.
Never used Patreon, but consider me a Newbie Lover.
Kevin and com are becoming the new cinq and enigma of old.

Ty guys for both the kind words as well as the people that signed up. If 3 or 4ish more people commit to $1 a month at this point, I will break even and only ever bump this thread if several folks drop out
Thanks all

we just dipped below sustainable-levels, so i'm bumping the thread. the best thing you can do for newbie mixes and other projects is to turn on $1 a month and leave it on for a sustained time--no need for anything crazily generous (though of course it would be appreciated!!)
thanks gamers :)

Sorry for the bump, y'all.
I'm currently spending about $300 a year keeping newbie mixes and voice.tf live (nothing compared to the time and effort others are putting in!), but the Patreon only brings in about $150 a year. If anyone is willing to chip in, I'd be appreciative. Budget is tight, but I won't be turning these services off.
$1-$5 a month makes a big difference if a few folks do it. Thank you!!
