i would like to make my own hud but the raysfire tutorial. i tried following that and it did not work, i would love to make my own custom hud from scratch. is there any updated hud tutorial? is there any way to make the raysfire tutorial work?

it''s a bit out of date but still has a lot of info on how the hud actually works. from my experience with hud editing, everything is a huge trial and error process so bind hud_reloadscheme to something and pray that it's gonna be ok

As far as the raysfire tutorial goes, it's still actually very usable these days. The most common issue people run into with that tutorial series is that they're missing the info.vdf that is now required for huds to load, which could be the issue you're running into: link

thank you, i knew the problemn was info.vdf but i changed it to different numbers each time and it didnt seem too work, seems i just didnt put a 3 there. i will try again
