Massive difference. My scout got way better (especially my pistol aim) and my Kovaaks scores have overall increased.
it made the game more enjoyable because the game felt more responsive and smooth, but it didn't make me better
it was fun as hell to run into scouts and run around them with higher refresh rate for a while though, even if it didn't work most of the times
(went from 60 straight to 240)

144 ---> 240hz is basically the last tiny blurriness of a fast moving scout or flying soldier goes away thats what I noticed but its not nearly as significant as 60-> 144hz.
144hz minimum is honestly just the esports industry standard now, even the normies are getting their 120hz TVs and fucking smartphones
however 144hz definitely made my DM better but i think it had an even bigger impact on my movement, everything becoming so much faster and smoother, I could see projectiles clearly and quicker. another thing, ghosting and screen tearing is huge if you had a potato monitor like me, and getting a 144hz removed that almost completely
i could be wrong but not sure if it matters to have 1-2ms response time on the monitor, idk if helps too but a lot of people told me it did

prior to getting 60hz i was playing low IM in s23. towards the end of the season i bought a used 144hz off my buddy in our high school parking lot. then we stole our friend casey's car and got dairy queen for lunch (dont worry we returned it)
anyways the difference is massive and i felt like i had some of the best dm in IM by next season
