How does it compare to Mumble? As someone who never used the program, I am just curious as to how the voice-latency and sound compare to Mumble (as Mumble has the fastest/best to date).

I'm curious about it because supposedly Raidcall gives out really good sponsorships, IE, the organization of EG pulls in ~150 people on it everyday, and supposedly they are receiving upwards of $50,000 a year from getting people to use the software/getting Raidcall's name out there. I know that we probably wouldn't get THAT much monetary value from it, but something is better than nothing as long as everyone is fine with it.

I figured that if this is true, maybe it could benefit the TF2 community in ways. It's just an idea on how to bring more funds into the community for trips and tournaments. Just tossing it out there ^^

The EG SC2 guys get like 5-7k viewers every time they stream though.

That's a little more exposure than what we'd be able to provide.

(Still worth a shot though, I guess.)

Wait if we make raidcall the new mumble for tf2 that'd be way more than 150 people.
I am probably missunderstanding this :P

It was something that came up in a stream chat for SC2, and the streamer is a guy who promotes Raidcall every so often, and he just started doing it recently, exclusively for 'monetary' reasons. He only pulls about 1,000~2,000 (constant) viewers everyday, so it's not like it's something exponential to what all the TF2 streamers bring in everyday. He just started doing it, and hasn't gotten his 'check' yet, but I'm interested to contact Raidcall and see how their sponsorships work (if they'd be willing to disclose that).

I'd err against contacting Raidcall. If someone was to contact Raidcall, it'd need to be a person in the know to whom it was of direct relevance to. Contacting them asking about sponsorship with no particular input is just going to rub them the wrong way.

I never said there was anything wrong with Mumble haha. I was simply stating that it could be a way to bring some money into the community, but if the quality/voice-latency are horrible compared to Mumble, then forget it.
