Competitive 4v4 passtime pugs are nothing like pub passtime. There is heavy emphasis on jumping and 6s dm mechanics since soldier, demo, and medic are the only classes allowed (lots of airshots). The gamemode is fast paced with unique jack mechanics like dribbling, and has lots of cool applied jumping (syncing is a viable strategy for scoring). There is great depth to the gamemode and I am still improving my gameplay after 4 years. If you like jumping and/or 6s dm you should give this pug group a try. People of any skill level are welcome to join: we have players ranging from advanced to newcomer because anyone can become good at passtime.

It's amazing that the group has picked the good parts of bball, passtime, and 6s to make a fast and casual game mode. The bad parts of those game modes are all restricted through configs, map design, and whitelists. Games typically take less than 10 minutes, so its easy to join in.

so tempted to reinstall tf2 to try this... Hadn't heard of pass time until literally yesterday, when I was watching arekk's "tf2 olympics" video yesterday and was thinking it could be used to setup a better version of bball :-I I'm actually flabergasted that such a cool gamemode existed and I had never heard of it 0.o
