Recently I had to reinstall TF2 to get away from the terrible steampipe beta.
When I reinstalled, my textures started to flicker like crazy, so I thought it was dx8, turned that off and went back to it, and the textures still flicker.
So I reinstalled again, same issue. What should I do?
alright ignore the sound issue, that was my headphones being wonky.

Could be a nvidia issue if you're using it. But usually switching back to dx9 would do the trick. If you want to try, maybe roll back to a 306.97 nvidia driver.

When I was still running my GTX 650, I installed the latest drivers and they screwed up TF2 with tons of flickering that made my head hurt. 306.97 will fix that like Gek said.

Pretty sure it's dx8, I have the same problem with dx8 but it works perfectly with dx9.
