hey guys, i have some projects that i urgently want to complete, and i need to use lawena to complete these said projects (one includes a lan high light vid)... however today i realized lawena wanted to fuck me... hard... very hard... in places that i wish to not describe. Here is a description of the problem, ill press launch tf2 in lawena and the game just wont launch, it will just say starting tf2, and then it will recover my normal configs, please HELP
Lawena will only recover your configs if hl2.exe runs, then stops running. If hl2.exe never runs, it'll just stay stuck in "Starting TF2".
I figure TF2 is crashing on startup with lawena, but idk how to fix it :<

Why can't you just write it up here, so that people who also have this issue don't have to add you?
FLPRS: so... when lawena says launching tf2
dy/dx: yes!
FLPRS: just manually open your tf2 through steam
FLPRS: and since lawena has already injected configs into your files
dy/dx: oh that's it?
FLPRS: you'll be ok]
dy/dx: I have launch options though
FLPRS: and then it will recover configs again
dy/dx: custom resolution
FLPRS: oh well you can change it when you use lawena
FLPRS: and then switch it backk
dy/dx: I guess so
FLPRS: i guess it depends how badly you need to use lawena
dy/dx: haha
dy/dx: yes!

Yep .. same problem, please fix asap!
1 Setup lawena settings
2 hit “start team fortress 2″
3 Set your recording resolution via launch options in TF2 properties (if you’re recording at a different res than what you play at)
4 Run TF2 through steam
For eXample: -windowed -noborder -w 1680 -h 945
^ workaround

Scholaris lawena going to be broken once steampipe hits?
My guess is yes, because steampipe moved the directories around, and lawena just guesses where your TF folder is.
PREC suffers from the same issue w/ steampipe.

You tell lawena where your /tf folder is when you first launch it so you could easily just change the location of the /tf folder to the new one by deleting the tfdir.lwf file in your lawena folder and relaunching lawena. The only problem I can think of is the slightly different format that the files have for custom huds, configs.
edit: infact i'm going to see if that works now...

You could just completely reinstall Lawena so that you redirect it to the new tf directory
Just get the developers of lawena to get it updated!!
