Hey so I just got new internet and I wanted to start streaming again. However it's been a long time and the updates to obs have changed some things around and I'm pretty lost as to how to set up my stream. I'd like to stream as high quality as possible, so maybe someone can help me get my settings figured out?
Specs:
CPU: intel core i7 - 3610QM, 2.3 GHz
Memory: 8GB RAM
GPU: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 660m (on a laptopt) w/ 2GB memory
Internet:

Thanks in advance, and feel free to add me if that would be easier!
Edit: I have the twitch account made and connected to obs and all that jazz, just need to figure out things like the encoding settings and whatnot.

Actually it'd be awesome if someone who knows alot about this stuff could just add me, cause it might be easier to answer my questions that way.

I used this, and even lowered the bitrate slightly from what it recommended, and I'm still dropping frames.

Would the server I'm using be a cause for dropped frames?

And is there a way to see my twitch chat in game without having to alt tab or use a second monitor?

The only way I can think of is using IRC, and finding someone sort of IRC overlay (which I think does exist). Most streamers use 2 monitors to see chat though.

2 monitors isn't really an option for me at the moment. Do you have to pay to use irc clients? I seem to remember mIRC wanting me to register and pay for it, but I'm a poor college kid that would rather not pay for that.
