Yep, that's exactly what I meant, thanks.

This wasn't really FOR anything. Just something to show the rate at which the community of comp TF2 is growing

Two-three years on and off whooo.
(And I'm still shit.)

Over 1 year.
I wonder what happened, but comp TF2 apparently exploded about that time
Edit: Or people might just be getting bored after 2 years.

1-2 months.
This site really needs like a banner or something noticeable for everyone that is not logged in saying: New to competitive?
And some guides ofc, took me a while searching through Google for different things.

this seriously needs to happen soon. like, before s14 starts at least. we keep telling all these new players in our streams who are genuinely interested in our community to "Head over to www.teamfortress.tv to get started with comp tf2... blah blah blah". But when you go to this site, imagining youve never been here before, its really hard to tell where you should start. Yes there is a coming #soon Guides tab, but like Goat_ says, a simple button that reads "New to competitive Tf2? Start here!". Then that would link you to a nice, well-formatted guide on the ins and outs everything comp tf2 (basic class roles, strategies, weapons, maps, cfgs, mumble, irc, etc). Which reminds me about the incomplete, but great guide that Sigma wrote last year: http://teamfortress.tv/articles/view/52-introduction-to-competitive-tf2-part-1
Is there any plans to finish this? Or is someone working on another? Just some of my thoughts, since I know a lot of new people are lost on where to start with 6v6.

Also, quoted from the article's comments:
enigmaMarterthantheaveragebearThis should be like a tab at the top or something, not just an article. Great work
i've had this sitting around forever because i planned (and still do) to have a giant tf2 manual type thing for the tab
figured there wasn't any point in withholding sigma's portion

I send everyone of my friends who want to get into competitive across the internet to guides blogs videos etc, tf.tv has the potential to become the central hub!
Let's make it happen!
edit: we made tip of the hats a blast and the work was kinda split up, I guess we can do the same with the site itself.
