Don't rely on /g/ too much when buying hardware, just sayin´
I think everything there is pretty spot on EXCEPT the point about the AD 700 (which are amazing headphones btw).
A modmic or a good desktop mic are also good choices along with the zalman.
And I wouldn't really consider my Steelseries Sensei a shit mouse, but as soon as I can afford one, I'll be getting a Zowie FK for sure.

This thread will single handedly solve 90% of the threads on this board, add one on 120hz monitors and thats 99%.
the301stspartanfrknthe301stspartanIf you've never lifted your mouse while playing, you probably have a really high sensitivity.I am currently on a Zowie AM but i am going to be ordering a DA 2013 later today. I heard that while it did have issues on release they where fixed with a firmware update and that it has a lower LOD then the DA Black. I personally prefer extremely light mice. As far as DPI goes that's just a gimmick. I am using the 1150 DPI setting on my Zowie AM and allot of others use 450.
LOD is another thing that I never really understood. Like, do people lift their mice during gameplay? Why? I never even considered doing that.
Well, I always considered myself a low sens player but considering that some people move their mouse 30cm/360 I guess my 11/360 are somewhat high. I also have a big mouse pad so no need to ever lift the mouse.
My sensitivity is around 1.5"/360 and I lift the mouse almost constantly. Most people don't want to deal with change, but acclimating yourself to a new LOD is actually pretty easy.

I don't think this thread is going to do much for preventing other threads. Most of what's listed is based entirely on someone's opinion rather than presenting facts. Some of the information may be useful, but it's all presented in a very derogatory and difficult-to-follow way. It probably shouldn't be stickied.

I got the DA13 and it was no problems as the others have, only problem i have atm is with my Puretrak glides is that the mouse gets to much height and cant track on the puretrak mousepad (h3h3) But its not a problem and doesnt happen while im playing just when doing nothing basicly

Can someone tell me what's so good about the intellimouse?
I think my dad has one which he got about 5 or 6 years ago so I might steal it

It has linear response even at high speed if you overclock the USB port, I believe.

I believe one of its strong points is that it apparently has a perfect sensor.

This might be a stupid question but can you actually notice the difference in the sensor and actually play better with it or is the difference too small to notice but you just know that the movements are more accurate because there is none of this "prediction" and acceleration?

If your current mouse is absolute crap you should notice it, but I guess it depends from people to people, when I switched from some random, cheap mouse to Razer DeathAdder I've definitely noticed a difference, ranging from the ergonomics, build quality (compared to my old mouse) to the tracking quality of the sensor.

Fwiw, I went from a Xai to a G400 and 'noticed it'.

I went from a Naos 5000 to a Zowie AM and noticed it. I would still be using the Naos (far more comfortable mouse) if i didn't.
