Hey everyone~
The only threads about monitors I ever saw on the forums were about which monitors and why, but no one seems to be saying why two is better than one or vice versa.
I started this thread because I recently ordered my Asus VG248QE 144z, and I still no use for my 60hz TV Monitor. Would it be better to just use the Asus or would it be better to use both?
Also, since it's similar let's take a step back. Which do you prefer? Single or Dual monitors and why?
This thread is not meant to say which if monitor x is better than monitor y, but simply myself asking for your opinion, and a discussion about the amounts of monitors.

I only use a 2nd monitor for QoL purposes but not in game. You can use a 120 Hz monitor and a 60 Hz monitor together and have the 120 Hz not lose any quality. I personally prefer having more than one monitor for the extra screen real estate and convenience, as well as having the Mumble window open on the side so the overlay doesn't cloud my HUD.

I would always take more monitors over less.
I use a 120hz primary and 60hz TV as my secondary monitor.
I generally use both monitors when doing work, but when I'm playing TF2 I turn of my secondary monitor because I find it distracting. If you stream, the secondary monitor can be great to keep OBS + your stream chat open on.
I also keep mumble in min-mode on my secondary monitor (and just have a hotkey to go to normal mode when I need chat).

If you are thinking that you can use two monitors for actual video games, you can't. Not for fps anyway, because your cross hair would be in the middle of the two monitors. For practical purposes though, having two monitors is amazing, and there is basically no disadvantage.

More is better.
For real though, I'm probably going to sell them and get one or two decent ones.
It doesn't hurt you to use the second one, and it lets you have things open while playing tf, which is nice. I'd use them both if I were you

I use my 2nd monitor for reference images or Twitch streams when 3d modeling.
Sometimes I'll use it to put a guide or something on if I'm playing a single player game.
