Your dpi is probably different than your old mouse. I don't own it but I think Zowie mice have like weird ways (with button pressing then plugging the mice in) that will change the dpi for you.

The DPI is actually 500 on the mice unless they updated something recently.

on the zowie am there's a black button on the bottom to adjust dpi (so you don't need drivers). The laser color is red for lowest dpi, purple for medium, and blue for highest.

I thought it was always 450/1150/2300 for every Zowie mouse.
According to this forum post, it's been 450 since February :P

At the bottom of the mice you will see a dpi button that will switch to:
450 DPI (Red)
1150 DPI (Purple)
2300 DPI (Blue)

If you want to change the hertz on the mice, you'll need to do the following:
Hold Mouse5 whilst plugging in the mice for 500Hz
Hold Mouse4 whilst plugging in the mice for 1000Hz
Hold both Mouse4 + Mouse5 whilst plugging in the mice for 125Hz.

It's a great mouse btw, hope that helps.

TF2 has direct input or some shit, so you always leave the windows multiplier at 1 when calculating sens for this game. I'd put in your old settings (dpi & ingame sens) and then find the inches per 360 you had. Then put in your new dpi, and try to fuck with the ingame sens number until you come up to a similar inches per 360.

it says 450/1150/2300 but all of the zowie mice have different DPIs when you actually measure them. the AM is something like 500/1250/2500

randomirishladmy zowie fk is 450/1150/2300

I did more searching and found this http://hardware.forumsee.com/a/m/s/p12-31634-043451--real-dpi-zowie-ec2-evo.html
It basically shows that I'm wrong and the AM is actually 500 instead of 450. Also the fk is 477/1188/2386.

The weird DPI steps are all thanks to the different lens Zowie is using on their mice.
Of the three different Zowie mice I've owned the DPI can range from 460-500 for the 450 step, 1180-1300 for the 1150 step, and 2380-2450 for the 2300 step. A lot of it is due to different mousepads changing the dpi of the mouse and some of it is the mouse feet changing the distance of the sensor from the mousepad thus changing the dpi.

If you're finding 450 to be too slow but 1150 to be too high you could try using a windows sens of 5 with 1150dpi for a feel of about ~860 dpi.

What settings were you using before with your old mouse? The slowness you're feeling could be from the bottom of the mouse rubbing up against your mouse pad, the feet on the AM are really thin and they don't give a lot of clearance especially if you like pressing your mouse into your mousepad.

the sensor placement on the zowie fk might be further back compared to whatever your old mouse was, which would result in a feeling of lower sensitivity at the same dpi, especially if you pivot on wrist a lot

Takes the input directly from the mouse bypassing any Windows sensitivities and stuff like that.
