With 5tb bandwidth you could host every server in the game.

Depends on other people's load on the server. You don't have any dedicated cores so someone could theoretically fuck your server over. My clan leader way back ran a mumble and server on one a long time ago though (along with mumble). Maybe TF2 dedicated servers need more load now.

Still, you can probably get a decent scrim server for around that price. You're taking a risk with the VPS that may or may not pay off.

It really depends on what provider you get. If it's a good provider, then you'll have smooth sailing even with slightly lower specs. If it's a bad one, then you'll get an unplayable experience no matter what you get.

Everyone is making fun of you saying 5tb bandwidth but I'm assuming that's max transfer, which is more than enough. We would need to see the throughput numbers to find if you have enough bandwidth to actually run a server.

I very much doubt you'll be getting 4 physical cores for $10/month. And you'll need more than 500MB of RAM to run even an 18 slot server. Whats the name of the hosting company btw?

512 MB won't be enough (SRCDS uses about 600 MB for 12 slot). You're also probably sharing the four cores with everyone else on the server box so performance is unlikely to be consistent. It depends on the virtualization software. The virtualization systems where you get your own dedicated cores (KVM) are usually much more expensive.
