Very low fps during streaming

I can stream League of Legends, Starcraft 2 and Dota 2 without a significant drop in fps, but when I try to stream TF2 my fps drops to around 20. I am using OBS on window capture for windowed mode TF2. Anyone know any way to fix this?

Also, the game capture feature just returns a black screen all the time. Anyone know anything about this? I would like to be able to stream fullscreen.

for me personally

game capture, set your in game res to your monitors native res and set it to windowed mode, and your launch options should have -noborder -w (your res) -h (your res) -console -novid -windowed

also if you use game capture make sure you go to properties and your application should have tf2 selected, if anything launch tf2 first then OBS so it comes up automatically in your game capture and you dont have to select it every time

Also, a solution for the black screen would be to go to your OBS settings and set your video adapter to your Intel chipset and run TF2 with your NVidia or AMD card(if you haven't already).

My OBS is set on my intel card, but I don't know how to see/change where my tf2 is set to run. Also whenever I try to stream with the game capture not only does it give me a black screen on the stream, but it also gives me a BSOD after a few minutes. This only happens when I stream TF2 with game capture. Other games work fine.

game capture, set your in game res to your monitors native res and set it to windowed mode, and your launch options should have -noborder -w (your res) -h (your res) -console -novid -windowed

I thought that full screen gave better fps, or is this just for streaming?
