I tried launching tf2 today, like any normal day. And it just crashes after the into videos, has this happened to anyone else and fixed it?
i have tried -novid, -dxlevel 81, and -dxlevel 80. All resulted with the game crashing, just as it did before.
I will probably try reinstalling, but i want to see if anyone knows a simple solution before doing so.

verify game files or whatever is what works for me
also if you recently installed a plugin/hud try removing it to see if it fixes it. i installed quartz's hud last night and tf2 wouldn't launch until i completely deleted all of its files.

it might not fix your problem but to shave a couple of seconds off your tf2 load in the future you can put
-novid
into your launch options

i validated my game, and the problem is still happening. i guess i am going to try and reinstall.
