Note that I have had prior experiences with 2 other monitors @ 60 hz and this didn't happen.
So after switching to a 144 hz monitor, my screen goes black everyday at 8:30 PM EST while making the sound of unplugging hardware (the beep that occurs when a mouse gets unplugged or something). I have it set to 120 hz with lightboost and I haven't changed my hardware in a really long time. Neither have I upgraded my Nvidia drivers due to the flashing screen in dx8.
I would prefer help on how to solve this issue but any information or leads on what may be causing this would be helpful as well.
EDIT: Used strobelight and set it to 120hz(strobed) as the only refresh rate and everything works fine again /thread

Nope. Also I should add that this happens whenever my computer is on in general and not just in TF2.

does the same problem happen when you run it at 144hz without lightboost?

#4 I switched to lightboost the day I got the monitor so I'll try that. I'm assuming the problem is #5 though.
#5 Do you think if I change my method of lightboosting(via the strobelight app here: http://www.blurbusters.com/zero-motion-blur/lightboost/ ), I could use lightboost again?

I am using strobelight on a BenQ XL2411T for using lightboost with my ATI videocard and there are no problems for me. It is awesome! Go for it.
