Anyway we could get floating sidebars as an option in the settings menu? I think this was played with before but nothing came of it.

those two would have problems floating for me @1600x900

Really just forum activity being the big one. Steams would also be nice. The others aren't really a necessity. However if things have to get reworked too much I dont think this would be worth the effort. The jump up button is semi-useful.
