Well i know you can change your in game FOV to 90 if you like, and for the sens just do the same number as in tf2 and keep your dpi the same

yeah im just adding on to what alec said, just change sens to the same thing as in quake but if you use an fov plugin to go over 90 esea wont allow it, i dont know about ugc or cevo though.

make sure m_pitch and m_yaw are the same in both games and the sensitivity is the same

quake will always use 6/11 window sens. if you don't use 6/11, just do the math. (see the window sensitivity section.)

Is FOV and sensitivity directly correlated? Do I need to use 90 FOV in Quake in order to match TF2 sens?

LightningIs FOV and sensitivity directly correlated? Do I need to use 90 FOV in Quake in order to match TF2 sens?

FOV has nothing to do with sensitivity in any game.

I'm more interested in how to match TF2 accel with Quake accel.

I'm more interested in how to match TF2 accel with Quake accel.

The formula is TF2 accel = Quake accel x FPS / 1000.

Your amount of accel is influenced by your current FPS so unless you have a max fps set in place and a decent computer your real accel will be constantly changing by a small amount.

Sorry for reviving this thread but if I have a 4:3 monitor, in tf2 I play with max fov (90) which with that aspect ratio in the real world turns out to be 90, what would I make it in quakelive?
Does quakelive take into account aspect ratios or does that mean it just stays at 90?

So, I'm in 4:3 with 90 fov in tf2. What is the equivalent in quakelive

You should use povohat's accel driver, TF2 accel is garbage

That website doesn't deal with fov's with specific aspect ratios. It says that 90fov in tf2 is equivalent to 100 fov in quake. But I assume that's at 16:10 however what would it be at 4:3?

you might not necessarily want the same sensitivity for both games seeing as how they are different and may require different mouse movements
