oh shit dude
i haven't watched the full run, how did the removal of zombie hovering change the run
I think zombie hovering is still in, but harder to do. Last time I watched a run I could have sworn Cosmo did a hover to Helmaroc skip, but only just past the spikes. The big change is that storage is gone - when you slide off an edge Link immediately puts away the WW, think taunt-sliding - so you can't manual superswim (cosmo tried it during routing and was able to start a superswim, but without camera being locked by storage it's near-impossible outside of a TAS)- but the Swift Sail automatically redirects the wind and it turns out that sail pumping speeds up sailing.

The shortened Triforce quest makes up for the time lost by sailing, hence the competitive times.
TwilitlordI think zombie hovering is still in, but harder to do.
the difference is that there is no tingle tuner. in TWW the tuner was used to use a tingle potion to heal during a zombie hover.
in TWW helmaroc skip didn't use tuner, it used the hearts gotten from pots up in the boss arena. so the helmaroc skip zombie hover is the only one in the TWW-HD run (to my knowledge, haven't actually watched the run)
It still bums me out that storage was patched. Watching Cosmo get those perfectly, one after another live at agdq2013 was what sparked my interest in speedrunning
