there's a good chance your ISP is throttling your connection, I had the same problem some years ago

This is happening to me also. I also get a LOT of stutters. It sucks man. :(
Anyone know a fix, please?

I was having intermittent lag spikes (would go up to 600ms+ once-twice every 10 minutes or so) for a while, now. my ISP guy - after giving him plenty of tracert screenshots displaying lag, him have me running a Connection monitoring program, etc. - had zero solutions for me. I googled "intermittent ping spikes gaming" and found out that windows 7 can throttle your bandwidth. following these steps, it appears I have fixed it. unfortunately, this didn't work for grc.
additionally, I have gotten good results by posting my issues on my ISP's specific subforum on this forum. I believe ISP's have higher-trained employees scouring these forums and troubleshooting with customers.
