unable to add new maps

i have a thing for adding new tf2 maps but lately i haven't been able to
i don't know if I've run out of room or if its something that i don't know anything about but id really appreciate it if someone could help me

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\maps

I assume you're dropping the .bsp files into that folder (or whatever drive you have TF2 on)
A bit more information on the problem would help though

yes that were i have my maps
i can still download a map but when i try to add it nothing happens and i have no indication that it worked
i even try to bring the map up in tf2 and its not there

is it in the maps folder however doesnt show when you try to find it when you 'create a server'?

They changed the location for custom maps after steampipe:

...\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\download\maps

also note if you are trying to run a local server through the gui you will have to put the map here:
...\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom\FOLDER\maps
but the \download\ folder will work for joining servers with the map or through console

bit silly if you ask me
