An indie FPS someone has been working on for quite some time, and judging solely off of the screenshots and inspirations for this game alone, it sounds and looks awesome. Something's telling me that a well made mixture of all the games that inspired this is too good to be true, but I'm keeping my hopes up anyway.

Trigger Spree is a fast-paced, non-realistic, arcade MP FPS. My goal is to make the game fun, diverse, balanced, and addictive. I want the maps to be enjoyable to play in and explore, while also being unique and beautiful. There will be a wide range of maps, weapons, and characters to play with. Trigger Spree is MP only, so I'm not limited by story/canon.
The game is designed using CryEngine 3. All content on this page is pre-alpha and not final
PLANNED FEATURES / GAMEPLAY ASPECTS:Fun, fast, precise gameplay
Memorable maps, spanning many unique environments
Weapons: experimental / conventional / alien / futuristic / weird (w secondary functions)
A Wide cast of characters including a human-sized-squirrel, robots, aliens, huskies
No regenerating health (at least not in default modes)
Multiple time of day settings per map (day/night)
Static cross-hair (no aim-down-sights, but there are some scoped weapons with zoom)
Able to hold any and all weapons you pick up
Quick player speed (no sprint button needed)
Possible Steam workshop functionality for custom weapons, maps, etc
Inspired by: Timesplitters, Unreal tournament, Perfect Dark/Goldeneye, Halo 2, HL 1 DM.

Isn't cryengine 3 poorly optimized? idk. The mentions of Halo 2, UT, and Timesplitters has my attention though, those are some fun games.

#2 I agree, however I'm more excited for the fan made Timesplitters coming to PC that was made with help from Crytek. :)

On March 15, 2013, more information was released on The Escapist. The game will be fan-produced and includes some of the original members of Free Radical Design (now known as Crytek UK), thanks in part to a petition put up on Facebook asking Crytek to make TimeSplitters 4.[17] The game will be taking parts of the best bits of the trilogy and will be named TimeSplitters Rewind. Despite gaining Crytek's approval, the development team eventually opted out of using CryEngine 3. The team said that, although the engine will give it more of a modern look, they "didn't plan on fixing something that isn't broken." They are allowed to use original assets from the series, and will still provide the classic feel and look the original TimeSplitters games did. It will feature a multiplayer mode (via LAN, online, or solo with AI bots) and is planned to have a demo by December 2013 and the game will be 100% free on the PC.[

I'm kinda bummed he doesn't show any gameplay, with respect to mechanics of movement, some sorts of physics, that kind of stuff.
The art style looks cool, and maps look interesting. I just don't see making maps without knowing what gamestyle you're catering to, and if you know already, why not show it.

By "secondary features" on weapons, I'm assuming he means alt-fire like in UT? Either way, this looks like it could be really cool.

Not sure if it really says anything, but he told me there's no bhopping in the game, though the possibility of having it isn't gone.

In terms of TF2 bhopping, or quake style, with speed increases?
As I understand, bunny hopping preserves your speed?
