since yesterday i have this problem with my mousepad (large razer goliathus control from around 2011), that if i move the mouse too quickly, it wont properly register (it only moves a tiny bit)
i have tried it with multiple mice, and three out of four had the same problem (i used three Trust 16535s and an old ps/2 mouse, only the oldest Trust seemed to work properly)
the only thing that could explain this is that i accidentaly poured water on the mousepad the other day, but even that being the reason is kind of doubtful, because i had already washed it multiple times in the past, and never had any problems after
the fabric looks exactly the same as the day i got it, i simply dont understand how something like this can change over the course of one day
does anyone have any similar experiences or a solution?

spray some compressed air on your sensor/clean it again. from what I read you didn't clean it after the water spilling on it.

either you misunderstood what i wrote or im misunderstanding what you wrote, but my problem seems to be related to the mousepad, not the mice

yeah, i washed it again after the problem first occured but it didnt seem to have changed anything

Try another mousepad or without a mousepad just to rule out an issue with your mouse. I doubt this is the issue as its happening with multiple mice, but I'd try it anyway just to be sure.
