i wish i had the resources to fully sponsor a new team this season for ESEA but unfortunately i cannot :[
but what i can offer is a free tf2 server and mumble for a team who is in dire need, all i ask is that you actually use it. if it sits unused im going to offer it to somebody else. you will have full rcon/ftp access.
i have 2 servers in central usa (kansas city) available. ill edit this post when they are gone.
add me to discuss
edit: both servers have been reserved by teams. thanks guys.

for the seven people who somehow live closer to kansas city rather than dallas or chi you will get marginally better ping
for everybody else your net will take an extra stop in either of these cities and youll have an added 15/20 ping
its still a nice thing to do, its just not really a practical one for most

I live near chicago and I get like 30 ping to chi servers and 33-35 to the justplay ones and most people I've played with have similar differences, it's pretty negligible overall at least in my experience.

in theory you're on the right track but routing is very dependent on the providers that your provider uses, and so on. large companies (comcast, to name one) will typically service large metropolitan areas themselves, rather than using a blend of providers. with comcast, for example, you're forced to take a virtual stop in chicago, dallas, etc. due to the way their networks are configured.
