So, I decide to play tf2 one day after I update my driver and my maps start flashing, any ideas on how to get back to normal?

Your problem sounds similar to one I had about a year ago. Unfortunately you need to roll back your drivers.

Does this apply to the 500 series? I remember there was an earlier update that fixed the flashes but only for the 600+ ones.
