Better Harddrive will be a WD Blue for better reliability IMO

Maybe an NZXT H440 or a Fractal Design Define R4 would be better compared to the 500R (maybe a 760T if you a have budget)

That's pretty much the same build I'm on (also recommended by platypus, heh), and it's fantastic. I'd stay away from outletPC though, they shipped me a dead HDD and it took around 2 weeks to get a full refund on it. Good call on the 256gb ssd as well, I went with a 128gb samsung and while it performs incredibly I've only got 30gb of space left and even that is rapidly diminishing.

Did you already make your purchases? If not just a few notes: refreshed version of the haswell unlocked (K) sku's hits June 2nd, non K sku's hits may 11th. You may see some small price drops/discounts in the next month or so on the CPU you have listed and on motherboards since they are coming out with a refreshed chipset. (I've noticed slickdeals.net has started having more deals on z87 motherboards as retailers will want to clear out some stock)

Also the i7-4790k is going to have a 4.0ghz stock frequency, so the i5-4690k might see something similar. (about a 14% increase)

Just made it today and had solidsnake install it all for me on the way home for $50. The $1300 or so I spent was well worth it though, god damn! This computer is amazing in every way and upgrade from my old. I'll probably be able to stream now.

- Corsair 400 Case, which was amazing quality.

Now I get to give my old PC to my fiancee.. Which was:

AMD Athlon II Quad Core 3.0GHz, ATI Radeon 5770 1GB GDDR5, 6GB DDR2, 500W PSU, LG Optical Drive, and a cheap cooler master case.

Right away I can see a dramatic difference in game in direct reference to my BenQ XL2420T 24" LED 120Hz monitor. My old setup was definitely bottle necking my cpu which was really not allowing the full potential of the old build. This new build i'm seeing and hearing things I never heard before. Hell, I may even stream now if someone can show me the ropes ( I can be quite entertaining, even if it's in a bad way lol ). I'll probably add another 8GB of ram to fill it out, can't hurt and it's pretty cheap. And if I ever want to upgrade in the future I can keep the same build and just change out the cpu/gpu since everything else is pretty solid (GPU/RAM/SD/HDD). I'll be set now for another 6 years. Only thing i'm in need of getting used too is working with the double hard drive. Everything wants to save automatically to the c:\ drive with is the ssd and I want only windows/TF2/frequently played games on there. Everything else on the HDD.

All in all, i'm extremely happy finally got my high-end build. Thanks to everyone who helped, especially Platypus and especially SolidSnake for building it for me for only $50 on an hours notice at his house. Really appreciate it guys. Thanks again!

If someone wants to give me a basic run down on how to stream let me know. Also where can I download music these days for free besides torrents?

There's nothing anymore like a limewire or mp3skull that allows you to just download mp3's for free aside from torrenting?

Just pay the $10/monthly (or $5 if you're a student), it's well worth it. You can also 'download' your playlist on your phone, so that's good too.
