lagging in tf2 but not outside of it

hey guys, maybe you can help me with this.

Lately ive been getting crazy choke and loss (sometimes one but not the other, too, but most of the time both). I usually check by using net_graph 4. I dont know that much about network settings but i know im lagging, its affecting my gameplay.

ok so lot of lag in game, but while im doing this, i run a ping or tracert, and am not experiencing any lag.

Packets: Sent = 2000, Received = 2000, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 25ms, Maximum = 82ms, Average = 26ms

Is there a network setting that i can alter so I'm not experiencing this?

im on a wired connection too btw, using an AT&T router.

Ive been getting this issue for the past 2-3 months, nfo has been trying to fix it for 2 weeks and att doesnt know how to fix it, good luck

OK, I have narrowed it down to a NFO issue. I think it's the routing to their servers only. (it just so happens that I haven't played on a non-NFO server in weeks)
