////////////////////////////////////////////Closed\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

so for a year i have used a insanely high sensitivity (8200 dpi and 3.9 sensitivity, but i can still move one pixel at a time, but it it is not a easy task)

before i have used 3600 dpi and 5 sensitivity but it felt slow and unresponsive so i raised it until it was super high (i don't know if its my roccat kone pure or just me)

so the question is should i lower it or keep it at that high?
and should i buy a new mouse ( i heard g400s is really good)

please respond, i will be happy if you do help me :D

edit 1: if some one has used g500s and g400s which one(pros and cons of both)

I have the g400s and I like it.

A sensitivity of between 6-12 inches/360 seems to be the ideal range for most people.

Most people, like said above, use a sensitivity between 6-12 inches.

Of course, there are always exceptions, some players use 15 inches per 360 and a lot of CS:GO (I know, different game) players use above 20 inches/360. In reality, it doesn't really matter what sensitivity you use as long as you're comfortable with it.

The fact that you're asking us if you should change you sensitivity could mean one of two things:
Am I wanting to change my sensitivity because nobody else uses this high of sensitivity? Then no you shouldn't.
Am I wanting to change my sensitivity because it's uncomfortable and too fast? Then yeah you should probably lower it..

But even if you are comfortable with it, changing it to a lower sens could help in the grand scheme of things and could improve your game. If you really want to change sensitivities you could just try experimenting for a bit to see what you really prefer.

Thanks, also for the instant reply, now i am more comfortable with my style of a mega sensitivity, also trying for a lower sens when i get my g400s, well probably going to higher my ingame sens.... but still thanks

i can understand fast sens' with g400s as it is a pretty heavy mouse

same deal with like say a zowie fk, where it is so light you'd prob want a slower sens because you can move it faster/pick it up easier.

Doesn't KaiThePhaux play with a .5in/360?
Granted, she's playing HL heavy, but still.

How does someone even track people with a .5 inch 360?

I'm dying jesus christ. Just fucking flail the mouse in their general direction and hope you get to hear the little ding sound.
That being said, a notable invite player seemed to be using a pretty high sens in this video, so there might be some worth to it...
