they just get merged to one group and schedules change

I knew something was up, since the 3 West teams were merged into the Central conference but East and Central weren't merged.

If things break correctly for you then you should be at 6-2 with a few nice bubble wins. I don't see where you're coming from with that comment.

I don't see why anyone would complain of schedules honestly. If you have a rough start, just means your midseason+ will be easier. Better to string a late season winning streak than the opposite. Who knows you may come away with a few strong games / surprise wins early, too.
It's all about the mentality.
