Basically what's going on is that when I join a server, any server, I can usually play. However, when the server changes its map, my tf2 will start loading and stop at "Retrieving server info..." by then it would have stopped responding (this always happens when loading a map/ server for me) so I can't stop the connection.
So pretty much what happens is that tf2 is stuck at "Retrieving server info..." and I can't do anything. If I wait long enough (10+ minutes!) tf2 will respond and show up saying that my connection timed out.
This will happen sometimes during the first connect to the server as well. Could this be due to my internet connection? Please help!

pretty sure every average computer's tf2 freezes when its retrieving server info, you just gotta wait it out. if the connection time out, too bad

When it's retrieving server info don't touch anything or windows will think the game has crashed. Just let it load without clicking anything.
