I have this problem that i havent bin able to fix
everytime the announcer schould say something i get a loud screeching noice
everytime a point gets captured instead off getting "point is getting contested"
i get this screeching noice
what i did so far is:
verified game cache
removed and reinstalled game
tryed diff sound settings
i cant seem to fix it
if u guys/girls have any idea what this might be it would be much apreciated
also i only have this in TF2 and only with the announcer voice all other sounds are perfectly fine

i just tryed recording it, and i learned something
when recording no screaching sound, but also no announcervoice,
so when recording i dont have announcer voice at all and also no screaching,
no screaching is grewat but i cant be recording all my gameplay :/
i think i have some sort off console command thats making it happen or someting
and no its not funny as hell :P it can really give u a headache if u have the constand screaching going on when people are capping a point ^^

and these .01 and .05
makes no difference for the screaching sound

Sounds like a sound card/driver issue if recording it causes it not to happen. Similar problem in any other games?
(does dxlevel change how sounds are processed BTW?)
