i think its crazy how the majority of the internet isn't even accessible through search engines like google and yahoo. you type something into google and you get like several million results, and thats not even scraping the surface of what's in the internet.

Most of the "deep web" is shit like emails and private info. What you're thinking of is the "dark web" which contains all the weird stuff. Most of it is uninteresting and there's a lot of hoaxes and fake sites other than some wikis and shit.

Most of it is just people selling drugs. Also the things you see about "assassin for hire" are fake and are just there to scam people basically.

Basically the FBI, Homeland Security, Europol and some other people coordinated what was basically a DDoS attack on the sites they wanted to take down to overflow TOR networks not hosted by them and eventually had the Response packets to the DDOS going through their own TOR network and was able to find out through that where the servers were actually located; which they then went to the physical server location and typically took images of the servers and would just scour the image to find incriminating material of the hosts. Interesting stuff.

I used it for a while. Everything is hosted on a PC therefore slow and not always available, it's pretty annoying in that regard. I didn't find anything cool or illegal, but I did catch some virus and reformatted my PC.
