Im looking for a quieter mechanical keyboard in the $50 range and my friend linked me this one http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=89

Get red switches when possible(that's what the general consensus uses). Also, there are these o rings for the keyboard which further reduces the force required to press down on a button while suppressing it a bit(only problem is that it's tedious to install since you have to put rings on all of the keys you want to suppress. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzcahNJ-fz0&feature=player_detailpage#t=132s)
Look into all the types of switches. I didn't like red because it made using a crouch-jump script a lot harder, and you have to bottom them out because there's literally no feedack to know when the key is actuated. I then made the switch to brown switches.
Instead of alps which is old look at this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823129003 (55)w/ mail&rebate
