My gtx 660 is acting up.
Everytime I try to reboot my machine I just get a black screen that says no signal and my gpu drivers stop working.
The error code is 43 and it says "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems"
I have been able to fix this before for ages now by just uninstalling and reinstalling my drivers a million times, but I have been doing that for several hours now with no luck and getting quite desperate since I got an official to play tonight.
I have been fine with this for a while now as I just haven't rebooted my pc, but yesterday I got a forced windows 8.1 update that forced a reboot and the drivers did this again.
Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have any programs that you can use to track your GPU statistics. Like MSI Afterburner?

--EDIT-- didnt read the beginning. So it has a black screen and you cant even access your desktop?

I wasn't able to access my desktop before a reformat that I did earlier today, I am able to now and I'm running on integrated graphics. I'm just not able to reboot the pc at all, only shutdown and start again. I'll download afterburner now and check it out.

Make a new partition and install windows to it (this may take some tinkering to work with windows8) and install ONLY the required system drivers and the latests nvidia drivers for your card. See if the problem persists.

If you're skilled with a multimeter. Test your 6/8pin power going to the GPU and make sure the amperage matches the minimum required for the GPU. Unless you have extra hardware to test, it may be hard to nail down a hardware bug.

Good luck.
