Not an upcoming event but wasn't quite sure where to put this thread.
Nebraska getting a new LAN center. I think it's the first one of this scale.
I think we've had one before but it never really kicked off.

Nebraska has never really had a vibrant eSports/FGC scene compared to other regions or even compared to other states in the Midwest so it'll be interesting how well this goes. I'll be giving it my support when it opens and will likely try to play more and more in person rather than at home. I know my friend Goonesky and I will likely end up wasting a lot of time playing CPMA.
Anybody in Omaha or near Omaha that would be able to go every so often?

I would go if there were a bracket with at least 16 teams

Omaha has a pretty good number of League and Dota players and is growing in number for CSGO, so I'm sure those games could easy get 16+ teams. I'd be impressed if TF2 even got 4 teams, but if they came anywhere close to 8 I doubt it would be anything competitive.
I'm hoping this also becomes a good place for FGC and Smash people to meet up and maybe run tournaments. Not sure if Omaha needs a place like this but it's certainly lacking one.

I was more thinking of tf2, it's the only game I can play at a decent level. I would be glad to just go and get destroyed by high open pug teams just to chill with friends and stuff. I've been wanting to go to a LAN somewhere in the midwest for a while, but nobody is hosting

Why did I think this is a LAN where Portal is being played?

Cuz it is. They're gonna play Portal 2 co-op at LAN. They're also featuring competitive surfing in CSS and 6v6 space engineers as well
