I'm wondering how to get my videos down to a more manageable size. I'm currently recording demos with lawena and then I'm encoding with the lagarith lossless codec in virtual dub and then I render as an avi in vegas. Am I missing something? I output a 2 min video and it ends up being 15 gb.

After rendering in Vegas I encode using Easy h.264 (http://tweevo.com/easy-h-264-video-encoder/). Brassemense preset is what I would recommend using.

Never output the final video as .avi. Either output as .mp4 from Vegas, or send the huge .avi through a program like MeGUI to cut it down to an uploadable size.
