So an unfortunate series of personal life stuff, health issues, financial woes, and behind the scenes happenings is forcing me to make the absolutely shit decision to back out of i55. After planning on going for over 6 months, this all came up at the worst time possible: just after the fundraiser announcement.
This is good in that the first goal of the fundraiser is met: getting airon (resident god of audio) there. It's also good because this means all the money that would be going to me is now going toward improving the live production of the event.
If you donated for the perks have no fear, you will still get every perk offered over this fundraiser. If you donated for me specifically, message me on TFTV and I'll do my best to give you your money back out of pocket. The main post will be edited to update this info ASAP.
Sorry gamers. I'll do my best to see you all irl @ gxl.

As is probably obvious already, the Fully Charged: EU episode scheduled for today did not happen, due to Kevin's recent announcement and a critical situation affecting the attendance of top teams that you may have heard about. The episode will be postponed to a later date as a result.
We apologize that we could not make it happen and hopefully will have a new date for you soon along with some good news. Thanks for your understanding.

Don't mean to be rude but what did Tagg actually do at the last event? Never really saw these photos or videos. Surely you could hire a professional English photographer for far cheaper?

I agree, I didn't see much of the photos or videos either. I remember Shades photo coverage at esea better than anything from i52

I've been relying on Tagg's photo/video content almost exclusively since i52 ended. Without him the GXL intro/outro marker videos would not exist (as well as some video content coming for i55). Tagg's photos have also seen a lot of use in TFTV articles and media since i52 closed. I'm astounded someone would even say this.
Shade's content is great but in the end it's just someone going around with their phone. Tagg brings a far more professional approach and I wouldn't choose anyone else to handle TFTV's on-site media coverage.
You're missing my point. For me (a spectator) It just felt like the coverage was non existent. You can get someone else to take pictures and videos without requesting £600 from the community.
I relied on shade's and sideshow's videos instead. Which were really entertaining.

Definitely a huge thanks to Tagg for his pictures, atm it's the highest quality source we have for player pictures and a lot of our wiki profiles are using his pictures for some reason.
Maybe you could get a professional photographer for the event for less than that amount like hoax mentioned but he's knowledgeable of the game (and photography) and if there was anyone in the scene for the job it's him. He will also play a big part recording lan footage (probably?) which if a i55 fragmovie is to go forward would be amazing to have him handle that.

Tagg is there for the professional aspect of the LAN, not for filming vlogs of hotel room antics. Any schmuck can make a grainy video of some drunken hijinks and post them on their youtube. As a casting organization, that is not a role tftv has to undertake. However, a good picture documentation of the LAN lets viewers peek into the scene, increasing the immersion the average viewer experiences or gaining a better understanding of the environment.
