Being that iv'e played TF2 for over 1000 hours without getting into competitive, iv'e been wondering how to really get out into the scene somehow. I've been playing tf2 lobby recently (100 matches), and I've been wondering about the next step.
(FYI I main Spy/Engie, Demo, Medic, in that order, I've played in a UGC Iron 9V9)

*UPDATE*
I'm only interested in Highlander.

Are you interested in getting into 6v6, or just highlander?
If it is 6v6, you can add me if you want to learn. Alternately, you can join in on the newbie mixes linked above next friday.

You need to figure out what type of TF2 you want to play. Highlander (9v9) is more casual and easier to get in to. If you want to play 6v6 you need to forget about maining spy/engy, as those arent really used in comp 6v6 unless its a very specific situation.

For 6v6 all teams run 2 scouts, 2 soldiers, 1 demo, 1 medic. Focus on those classes if you want to break into 6v6. Do some more lobbies and then move over to irc and try #tf2mix and go from there.
