I stand corrected, but that is outdated info, as that was written before a lot of the exposure came out. The main post has been updated previous and as of last week we had already decided on at least 5 servers.

The story isn't as interesting.. just picture a community where it's literally a privilege to wear the eGo clan tag in your Steam name. And as I recall you start out with just e, and you have to "earn" the full clan tag somehow. And the 40 year old mods who take it all way too seriously will ban you if you just put the clan tag in your name, or just whatever else because they're way overzealous on discipline. And they always capitalize the start of their sentences in game chat and use a period to show you they're super smart. Anyway we used to just throw out Hitler references and generally fuck with them. It was a p fun time.

Edit: As I recall, my buddy got a 20 year ban so then we kept trying to see who could get a longer one. Oh and they came out with a system where you could !up or !down vote someone on the server and they used to get so pissy about it. This is all rushing back to me now.

I'd also like to point out that the event (despite being a terrible, unfun clusterfuck) was very well run. eGO may not have the best rep for their pub/forum communities, but their events are pretty darn good.
