Seriously though, who are you in the competitive scene? Not that I discourage you from LFT for experience if you are confident in your capabilities and have reviewed enough w/ higher tier players to be assured you're ready for Open, but w/ your seeming minimal experience it appears possible you're rushing things.
You posted your worries about ESEA dying because of a lack of teams and now you are trying to dissuade people from joining ESEA.

Would definitely recommend any new open teams to try him out, ESPECIALLY if your team is lacking in the memes department, his memes are high quality.
