For those of you looking for software to edit your videos with, but not able to get ahold of some of the more common programs (because money), there is an alternative available.
DaVinci Resolve 12 is currently in beta and free for everyone.
https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve
There are two different versions, the base version, and the studio version. The base version is free, and will continue to be free even once it is out of beta. The studio version is paid and costs around $1,000.00. However, the free version is more than enough for most users.
I admit that I haven't used it myself (yet), but I heard about it from a friend who really liked it and figured that more people might want to know about it.
The download for the free beta is all the way at the bottom of the page, so ignore the big download button in the middle, and scroll all the way down to the bottom where it says "DAVINCI RESOLVE 12 PUBLIC BETA" and get the normal beta (NOT the studio beta).

Though I've tried it out myself a little bit I really don't think it's a good idea to 'recommend' software that you haven't even ever used. It's not a bad program by any means but it seems really silly as you give no other reasoning to use it other than: the fact that the normal version is expensive and that your friend uses it. Especially given that the default path of 95% of the tf2 editing community is torrenting vegas/ae and learning how to use them, it seems silly not to even give any advantages/reasons to switch to resolve. I don't know much about the program itself but from what I know it's mainly used for color grading, and as many seem to be satisfied by slightly modified magic bullet looks presets I'm unsure how useful it would be for most people. That being said, I could be wrong and it could very well be helpful for some people.

you can now color grade your tf2 fragmovies like the professionals

I haven't personally had too much experience with DaVinci Resolve, but at my school, our color grading guy does it all in that. So I guess I'd say its more geared towards the professional end of video editing and if that's your thing, its probably worth your time to at least check it out.
perfect_numberI thought resolve was a color grading software.
That's about as much as I know

Version 11 is color grading only. Version 12 which is in beta does full editing and color grading.

I never said that everyone should instantly switch to resolve, I'm just saying that it's a free program that some people might want to try if they're looking for a decent editing program and don't want to have to resort to piracy.

nobelharvardsCan you have a universal "disable resampling" setting instead of having to set every individual clip like in Sony Movie Studio or Vegas?
Select all clips you don't want resample on, right click it > switches > disable resample
Sony Vegas Pro 13
